BREAKING: US Coronavirus Deaths More Than 9/11

March 30, 2020 will go down as a somber day in American history. More Americans have now lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic than from the September 11th terrorist attacks, which took the lives of 2,977 Americans.

Worldometers now reports 2,995 US deaths from the coronavirus as of 7pm ET.

Adding salt to the wound is the fact that nearly half of the United States’ coronavirus casualties have been in New York and New Jersey, with 1,218 and 198 respectively as of the time of this article.

With a current total of 161,414 cases in the United States as of right now, an additional 18,029 cases have been recorded today, which by all measures will end up making today’s total higher than yesterday’s of 19,913 new cases.

While more cities and states are taking measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, (notably, Virginia issued a stay-at-home order today that runs through June 10th), there are still many Americans around the country attending public activities. As we reported earlier, a Louisiana church held a gathering of about 1,000 people just yesterday.
