China Airlifts New York 12 Million Gloves, 130k N95 Masks, 1.7M Surgical Masks, & More Supplies
China has airlifted a massive shipment of hospital supplies to New York, a city in dire need of help as coronavirus has now infected 59,513 in New York state and taken the lives of 965 of its residents.
The shipment will include:
- 12 million gloves
- 130,000 N95 masks
- 1.7 million surgical masks
- 50,000 gowns
- 130,000 hand sanitizer units
- 36,000 thermometers
The plane left Shanghai and arrived at New York’s John F. Kennedy International airport Sunday morning, according to an Axios report.
This is said to be the first of 20 air shipments planned by FEMA. Subsequent shipments are planned with the intention to distribute these to other US cities whose hospitals are in need of help.
